Summary: Audio/video function is great, remote not so much
Comment: My hubby and I bought this to watch tv on our screened-in back porch. We've been using it for about a year now and are very pleased with it. At first we tried transmitting from our living room TV, where the signal had to go through several walls; it worked "ok". Then we decided to transmit from the upstairs bedroom tv down to the back porch, with only one wall in the way; we get a great picture and great sound and now enjoy sitting outside watching movies while we grill every weekend. With that said, however, we have never gotten the remote control extender to work at all and ended up buying separate units for that function at a very low cost (about $20 from a popular online auction site).

Summary: Remember Rabbit ears?
Comment: This is garbage! I fussed with the 2 antennas on on BOTH transmitters forever it seemed and all I got was interference. It was like in the old days of trying to watch cable channels that you did not purchase. What a waste. And to top it off this company is in Canada, so I had to fill out customs forms when I returned it. A waste!

Summary: Not omnidirectional antennas
Comment: Difficult to orient antennas- antennas are not omnidirectional and need direct "view". I decided to orient later since it took my more that 2 hours to get a basic image and crappy sound. Distance is not more than 10m and have 2 walls in the middle. I am not sure that this was an intelligent decision.
I don't have any source of interference but a 2.4 GHz telephone...still can't find the way to solve the problem

Summary: Very Disappointed
Comment: I used to use the Terk 2.4 Ghz video transmitter, but the microwave oven interference caused me to look for another solution. I saw all of the rave reviews for this product, so I bought in. Big Mistake.
I planned to hook the transmitter in the basement to send my DirecTV signal upstairs to a small dining room TV. The signal was full of static, or would cut out all together. I spent an hour fiddling with the antennas on both ends, but never got a watchable picture. I ended up moving the transmitter to my upstairs DirecTV receiver, which is only about 50 ft down the hallway. I still had to place the transmitter on top of some furniture (about 6 ft high) in order for the signal to reach to receiver. I still have drop out and static problems, but its a watchable picture about 95% of the time. The transmitter and receiver antennas are very sensitive to direction, and any slight movement will cause you to totally lose signal. The IR repeater works OK, but I wish the signal was stronger. I don't know where they get this 300 - 400 ft transmission distance. Maybe if they are in the same room with no objects in between, but my experience has shown that doors and walls really limit your receivable range.

Summary: kitchen, treadmill, garage...Oh my
Comment: I use this wireless AV sender. I have a small tv in the kitchen that I did not want to drill holes for and did not want to pay for another Directv box. This version comes with the sender and receiver. I love it. Picture is great once you aim the antennae properly. I will also take the receiver in to the basement to watch Directv while on the treadmill. Have even taken outside to the garage to watch a race. Partner with the Directv RF remote and I can change channels too! It does have a infrared repeater, but this did not work properly. A little pricey, but the versatility made it worth it for me.
