Customer Rating: Summary: Look no further for RCA interconnects Comment: This is by far the best bang for the buck set of RCA interconnects that you will find on the market. If you are looking for RCAs for your Home Theater system, look no further. If you have a low/mid-fi 2 channel system (thats worth up to a total of $1000-$1200 or so), I think you would be hard pressed to find a better set of RCAs at the sub $50 price point. It is my belief that more expensive interconnects and speaker cables only really make a difference with nicer (often times more expensive) stereo equipment. At $22, these are an absolute steal.
I first used these for my 2 channel audio system (after reading the review above, in which the reviewer found that they compared favorably to many other well-known brands/models, many of which are pricier). Of course they blow any of those cheap, stock-issue RCAs away. They even sounded noticeably better than a pair of Dayton RCA cables that I ordered from Parts Express, which is a very reputable audio company.
Yes, for $22 they of course are not the best of the best for 2 channel (music). Thus after a recent purchase of a dedicated amp (Parasound Halo A23) and Marantz CD player, I got some significantly more expensive audiophile-grade interconnects (Belden 89259)for my 2 channel system (which, put together, is worth about $2500). They showed a slight improvement in sound stage and imaging over the Belkin PureAV silver series. Thus, I turned these Belkins over to Home Theater duties. I had been using Belkin's entry level series (about $10 for a pair of 3' RCA cables) which worked fine. But when I replaced them with this pair of Belkin PureAV RCAs (Home Theater Receiver to TV) the sound was noticeably cleaner, fuller and more detailed. Highly recommended!
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Product Comment: These cables definitely have the nicest build quality I have used in my home system. I've connected & disconnected them several times now while moving equipment around and I appreciate their light weight, slightly longer than normal length, and good connection strength (not too tight, not too loose). They look cool too! The only thing I can't comment yet on is how they sound compared to other cables. But so far they seem to be doing a find job. Currently I have them connected between two professional grade recorders for archiving cassettes and have had no issues.
Customer Rating: Summary: The best budget cable I have tried! Comment: I have tried a lot of cables in the sub $60 level including BlueJeans Belden 1505F, Acoustic Research MS230, IXOS and M*nster Interlinks for my two channel audio system and this one is clearly superior. It is very clear, dynamic, smooth and slightly warm. Need we ask for more. Wait, it is also VERY transparent. I know this is from the mono crystal copper (pcocc). At its price, this cable is a bargain.
Customer Rating: Summary: GOOD QUALITY CORD Comment: These cords are well made with durable ends. They are not as flexible as some of the black rubber cords but are fine as long as you dont need to put them in a small area with tight bends. Ive had them for 4 months and they work fine with no problems at all.
