Customer Rating: Summary: Sennheiser Rs110 Headphones ~ very good quality! Comment: "You (do) pay for what you get" is the appropriate phrase here. This wireless headset has very good sound quality and has a durable and comfortable construction. I am sure there are higher sound quality headsets out there, but to me, they are not worth the extra cost!
Another advantage for me is that this headset operates on replaceable (and inexpensive) AAA batteries ~ Since I only use the headset one or twice per week, I do not need to use rechargable batteries.
Customer Rating: Summary: Really Nice wireless headphones for the money Comment: After doing quite a bit of research on wireless headphones, the products seemed to fall into two categories...really expensive ($70 and up) and really cheap ($30 and down.) I've purchased the cheap ones before such as the RCAs (which were uncomfortable and made your ears itchy only after half an hour of using them) but surely didn't want to fork out a hundred bucks or more for the upper stratosphere wireless sets.
Enter the Sennheiser RS110. A cheaper version of the RS120. The difference is in the on board chargeable feature for the headphones on the 120. Not really worth the extra expense in my opinion as popping out the batteries for a fresh pair of rechargeables with the RS110 only takes a few seconds.
Ok, onto the specifics. Although $60 is still pretty expensive, what you're getting with the RS110 pretty much justifies the price. The sound from these headphones is quite good with nice bass, good highs, although the mids are just a bit overdone. The wireless feature is good and the transmitter automatically locks onto your headset when it powers on. RCA jacks are at your disposal to connect to your sound source whether it is your TV, DVD player, or stereo. A flick of the on button, adjustment for the signal, set your volume and you are good to go.
I bought the earphones for DVD movies, watching TV and playing video games at night. The RS110 is a lifesaver for letting me turn up the volume without disturbing anyone else in the house...especially since I am a bit of a night-owl on occasion. But since the sound is pretty good, sometimes I opt to use them even during normal viewing times as well.
The wireless feature is nice, but if you tilt your head or move the headphones around in a specific position, you'll get a bit of static. In really quiet instances while viewing TV, movies or music, a bit of hiss comes through, but 90 percent of the time, whatever you're listening to will drown out this low level hiss. These headphones are really comfortable because the foam padding sits flat against the outside of your ears instead of encasing them in a "cup" which makes your ears sweaty and itchy. You can leave these on for hours without getting the itchy ear syndrome. The signal picks up pretty well around the house too, so listening to music is pretty good for going wireless.
The thing with the transmitter is that you have to unplug it from whatever device you want to switch it to, so this is a bit of a hassle if you want to switch from your HD TV to your stereo for instance.
All in all, a nice pair of wireless headphones for a semi-high price range.
Customer Rating: Summary: Headset review Comment: These headphones are a great concept, I just happen to be the unlucky one that got a pair that did not work, but had to return for a refund.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Product Comment: great sound - exceeded my expectations - I'm planning to buy a second one for my other TV...
Customer Rating: Summary: inexpesive and useful Comment: Just bought this wireless earphone.Set up was a breeze. Do get slight static in the background with my TV Sony Triniton Wega there are 2 channels but switching does not help. The other channel is just loud static. Did catch music from a neighbour while I was trying to listen to the TV while cooking. Overall Sound is ok headset slips if you move around but the material looks good and worth the $54 I paid for it.
