Comment: I purchased this splitter because I have tv shows on my laptop that I would rather watch on my 42'' Plasma HDTV, and unfortunately S-video cables don't transmit sound as well as video. So I bought this, plugged it into the headphone jack on my laptop and into the Audio inputs on my tv, and low and behold it worked like a charm! Finally I don't have to watch on a big screen while listening to the speakers on my laptop...
